Entry Information Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational

Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational is a single event, standalone, outside of any championship.

Entry Eligibility:

Entry into Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational is done by car. Any team or owner with a Mustang Dark Horse R racecar is eligible to enter their car in the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational. A driver can be declared at a later date, who is subject to the driver eligibility requirements below.

Entries are separated into two different categories:

IMSA Mustang Challenge Competitor Le Mans Event Entries :
  • Entries who have entered IMSA Mustang Challenge (2024 full or partial season entry, or 2025 full season entry) are eligible for this package, with a discounted entry fee as well as vehicle logistics subsidy by Ford.
Single Le Mans Event Entries :
  • Entries with a Mustang Dark Horse R race car who were not entered in IMSA Mustang Challenge 2024 full or partial season, or who are not entered in IMSA Mustang Challenge 2025 full season.
  • Entries who have received a new allocation to receive a Mustang Dark Horse R – conditional on entry into Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational

Driver Eligibility:

U.S. Drivers with a national license issued by IMSA, INDYCAR, NASCAR, NHRA, SCCA or USAC: The national ASN of USA, ACCUS, will issue a “letter of no objection” in order to compete, which will accompany your national license. No additional steps are required from you in order to be cleared as a driver for the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational race.

Outside of USA (or current FIA Int. License holders): Drivers must have an FIA Int. License D or higher, with a permanent authorization to participate in national competitions of other ASNs or a letter of authorization from their local FIA recognized ASN to participate, in order to compete in the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational race.

Logistics:

IMSA Mustang Challenge Competitor Le Mans Event Entries :
  • Included in the entry fee is round trip vehicle shipping, along with a small space allowance for spare parts and equipment. It is expected additional equipment may be needed by teams, and the series logistics partner will help coordinate team support equipment shipments at the team’s expense with the most economical ways considered (shared containers for equipment, vessel / sea-freight)

Damaged Vehicles post-event:
  • Vehicles will be required to roll on all 4 wheels for transportation reasons on the return trip
  • In the event a vehicle does not meet the conditions imposed by the carrier(s) involved in the vehicle transportation, we will ensure the logistics provider has prepared a contingency plan for returning these vehicles to the US
  • Return transportation of the damaged vehicle that is outside of the planned process (i.e. heavily damaged vehicle shipped back to US in container) will be at the expense of the entrant.

Single Le Mans Event Entries
  • No logistics support is provided, and teams/competitors are responsible for making all arrangements for delivery to and from the track for this race. If you are in need of logistics support, the selected logistics provider’s contact information will be shared at a later time.
